P. R. A. Y. and Be Saved...

P -We all have a problem . We have all sinned. We are all unable to build our own bridge to Heaven because we have sinned and willfully continue to sin.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"

- Romans 3:23

R -As a result of all of mankind having a willful sin problem, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, stepped into humanity to pay the penelty of our sins by living the sinless life that we could not and would not.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

- Romans 5:8

A -We must accept the free gift of eternal life that Jesus Christ offers us or will recieve our own wages of sin in the judgement.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

- Romans 6:23

Y -We must yield our life to Christ Jesus and we do this by confessing with our mouth, through prayer, that we are yielding ourselves to Him as Savior and Lord.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

- Romans 10:9-10

It is by asking for salvation that we receive and by confessing that we are forgiven. 1 John 1:9 reads: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

The prayer that goes something like this…

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I know I cannot save myself. Now in faith I ask your forgiveness. I repent of my sins and I accept your gift of eternal life. I thank you for dying for me on Calvary’s cross. I accept you and trust you as Savior and Lord of my life.  Amen

…is what Jesus affirmed when he said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47).

Did you pray this prayer? Has this moved your heart to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord?

Please let us so we can rejoice with you and join with you in prayer for your future!
