Ceremony Themes & Choices

I want to help you plan your ceremony so you get exactly what you want. You have some choices when it comes to vows, features, and the theme of your ceremony.

You can choose traditional vows or to write your own vows. You may want to add a Unity Candle or a Sand Ceremony. , do your vows

I would suggest starting by looking at my Ceremony Overview and get an idea of what I typically do and then deciding on changes or additions to that, if that helps. As always, if you have any questions about it or anything regarding my services, please contact me.

Here are some descriptions of ceremony options, that will assure you that we are both thinking of the same thing, as we prepare for your wedding….

• Traditional - The majority of couples ask for this, my traditional ceremony and after 1200 weddings, I’d say that I have it down to an art. however, I am always happy to add some of these following themes to it, to make it yous!
• Biblical – With more Scripture added – your choice of passages or I can pick a few selected verses if you’d prefer.
• Love-Story – This one would include my Grandma story and how the met one time and were married for 64 years. It can include a story or two about you two as well.
• Humorous – This is not the comedy wedding which is really for larger events, but this is for those who want a little extra humor included, without turning your ceremony into an entertainment event.
• Quickie - You may just want something quick and to the point, and I’m OK with helping you just get-r-done. Just let me know what you want and I can make that happen.
• Casual – You are coming together with some friends and family and just don’t want the whole pomp and circumstances thing going on, but you still want the ceremony to be meaningful and dignified.
• Formal – You may want the pomp and circumstances and you have more bridesmaids than cousins. What makes a formal a “formal” to me, is that you want me to wear a coat & tie.
• Roll Tide – Now we’re having fun! I’ll throw in some Bear Bryant Crimson Tide marriage analogies and you provide music from the Million Dollar band, and we’ll have a championship marriage!
• Comedy  – If I’m officiating your ceremony, you’re going to get some humor – mostly low-key for the bride and groom – but the comedy wedding is a comedy performance that happens to include a wedding or vow renewal ceremony.
• Customized - If you want something special or different or if you have an already written script, just let me know and I’ll be happy to incorporate that or to simple follow your pre-written ceremony.
