Comedy Anniversary Celebrations

At the center of an Anniversary Event, for me, is the vow renewal ceremony. Then, I can help add to that celebration by providing some comedy.

Much like my stand-up comedy performances for banquet audiences, I can do the same for your gathering of family and friends as a lead-in to the vow renewal ceremony.

Group Promotional Events…

In 2008 I had an idea to have a group vow renewal ceremony and celebration party for the upcoming 2009 Valentines Day, which was going to be on a Saturday. I pitched my idea to three Gulf Shores, Alabama food & beverage establishments, and one signed-up…Lulu’s at Homeport, which is owned and operated by Jimmy Buffett’s sister, Lucy.

It was a great success with 150 couples. In 2010, we did it again, but this time we had 450 couples and the ABC Good Morning America crew came down with their cameras and featured it on the show!

I couldn’t do it in 2011, because I was already booked for an out-of-town comedy tour, but that experience birthed an idea to combine my two loves of comedy and officiating and here are the possibilities…

A Surprise Wedding… 

If you want to make your wedding ceremony a surprise to your friends and family, this is a great way to do that! You invite them a party with a comedian and after I perform about 30 minutes of comedy, I call you up and we have the wedding!

A Comedy Venue Event…

If you are a manager or operator of a comedy club or a food & beverage establishment looking for a unique way to increase business, reach new customers, stir-up publicity, and build relationships for future business, this is a great way to do that! You can market this opportunity to your current customer base, set a date, and after I perform about 30 minutes of comedy, I call you up the couple to the stage to have the wedding!
