About Me

I am the pastor of CrossHope Chapel, a hospital chaplain, and if I am not at the beach I am likely writing something to post to my blog.

Since giving my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, (you can read about my miracle conversion at my personal testimony page) I have been involved in vocational church ministry for over 30 years, serving as an itinerary revivalist, hospital chaplain, and senior pastor with churches and ministries in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama.

I hold degrees in religion and pastoral ministry from Southern Adventist University (please read Former Adventist Minister), Mount Carmel Institute of Biblical Studies, and coursework with Calvary Chapel University, and post-graduate Clinical Pastoral Education with University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

Prior to starting to starting CrossHope Chapel as a simple church ministry, I served for eight years as a hospital chaplain with Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. In January 2020, I have rejoined the hospital as an on-call chaplain again.

I enjoy writing and have written several books including Prayer is the Answer, Ask the BibleDaily Promise One-Minute Devotionals, Sentence Sermons, and Simple Wedding Ceremony Planning Guide.

My family and I enjoy life on the Gulf Coast and includes my beautiful wife Steph, four children, and three pets Keef (a Dachshund), Jael (a German Shepherd), and Rocky (a Blue Heeler mix rescue dog).

I regularly write articles at my pastoral blog in the categories of Bible Answers, Mere Observations, Once Adventist, Simpler Church, Pastoral Notes, and Prophecy Outlook.
