After Thoughts
Last Saturday evening’s CrossHope Chapel’s Christmas Party was such a blessing! I have to admit that my knee was starting to really ache and just before everyone arrived I was beginning to feel like I would rather curl up in the corner with a pain pill and a nap.
Of course, I am glad I didn’t and I am glad we were able to gather and enjoy fellowship together. It still amazes me that we can all hang out together and still have things to share and speaking for myself, still like being around each other.
The years since we first started meeting on January 6, 2011 have caused some changes in our lives, but we are still here providing fellowship for those changes. I think we all need fellowship to process our pain from loss, struggles from aging, or just to get a boost of encouragement and hope as we journey through life.
I think we experience true fellowship when we come together. We can be so different yet so alike in Christ, which is really our common ground, right at the foot of Calvary’s cross.
I so much appreciate you all and our fellowship together, week by week, and I give thanks to God for each of you. It is truly my honor to pray for you (Acts 6:4) all and I do enjoy being intentional to do that faithfully and often throughout any given week.
2019 will bring us one year closer to our Blessed Hope and another year growing “in grace and in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
May it be a good year for you and yours, and may it be a good year for CrossHope Chapel as we remain steadfast at being a Christ honoring community of believers where whosoever can come to find God’s Word and experience His faith, hope, and love.
