Christmas in Revelation
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
One of my favorite Bible verses on Christmas is in Revelation 12:10, which says, “And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers[a] has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.”
Christmas is an annual reminder that the Kingdom of God is with us and Satan’s demise is in deliberative motion. Our Lord is working His gospel plan to bring salvation to all who would believe and live. He has been patient with humanity through the deceptive lies and accusations of the fallen angel, but soon the works of sin will cease and Jesus will reign over an eternal celebration.
Let’s pray that this Christmas we will look to the Savior for hope and life, knowing that the plan of redemption may seem lengthy, but it will be complete, perfect, and thorough so sin “will not rise up a second time” (Naham 9).
See you Sunday, January 7, 2018.
