In John 21:15-17 we read where Jesus asked Peter do you “agapa” me? Peter responded by using a lesser word for “love.” Jesus used the word meaning “unconditionally” while Peter used the word meaning “brotherly.” After the same a second time, Jesus came back a third time and asked Peter if he loved Him but this time Jesus used the same lesser word for love that Peter was using.

Sometimes God does come down to our level in order that we may be lifted to His, so we can begin our relationship together on the same page.

Revelation 11 is a lot like that. The Jews should be beyond the types and antitypes that made up the Old Testament teachings through the laws and ordinances, but they are not. Still God has promised to save them (Romans 11:25-27) and at this point in the tribulation He comes down to their level and catches them up to speed because of the times of the Gentiles, which they missed.

God begins with the rebuilding of the temple. A familiar thing to a Jew and welcoming point of reconnecting with God. Then they are given the Two Witnesses – likely Moses and Elijah – who will certainly get their attention. And don’t forget that there have been 144,00 Jewish evangelist at task during the tribulation, and you do remember what just 12 Jewish evangelists did don’t you?

God loves us and has invested in us – Jews and Gentiles – the very life and sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ and just as He is planning on the salvation of Israel, so has He taken measures to save you. Today is the best day to do that, too.
