Francis Chan
I’m sharing with you a brief post and video clip of Francs Chan from my own blog (www.stevedurkac.org) of Francis Chan talking with ministers and church leaders. The subject is right in line with some of the things we discussed last Sunday and I know that some of you will really enjoy this, too. Also, this Saturday I will make a post at our CrossHope Chapel site, which you should receive by email, of a Francis Chan YouTube sermon on “Church Together” where he talks about being authentic in church and grace for our Christian life. See you all Sunday, July 30, 2017!
It is one thing for a simple church pastor like myself and others to say these things, and it is entirely different when Francis Chan say these things.
When a small church or house church or simple church advocate speaks out against religious consumerism and advocates simpler church ministry, we get brushed off as being jealous, divisive, or even cultist.
However, when Francis Chan, the promoted and respected Southern Baptist minister, author of the best-selling book “Crazy Love”, and mega church pastor of the 4000+ member Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California turned house church pastor says these things….well, it makes me think that the Spirit of God is beginning a work of revival within his church calling us back to a primitive godliness and doers of the word, not just hears.
What things am I talking about? Listen to the 19 minute video clip below as Francis Chan speaks to “The Church that is described in The Bible is very different of most of the churches we have today.”
