Last Sunday, as we were looking into Revelation and Gods hand upon the nation of Israel, we had a question about why God is so protective of Israel despite their rejection of Jesus as the Messiah. We discussed how He loves His own even in waywardness, just as we still love our adult children even in there waywardness. The thought hit me today, that His love for Israel, despite their rejection of Christ, ought to give us a greater assurance and confidence in God’s loving protection for us as well, considering that we have accepted Jesus as the Messiah! After all, Scripture does tell us that “God so loved the world” (John 3:16)
