No Lives Matter…
No lives matter to Satan and his followers. Those who follow him may not walk around conscientiously declaring their allegiance to satanic forces, but their own behavior declares it.
John 10:10 tells us that Satan is not interested in tolerance, peace, or our pursuit of happiness. Satan is out “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” while Jesus has come “that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
So how should we respond to such demonic behavior out to steal, kill, and destroy our American society? Here are some bullet points to consider as you process these times…
• We are seeing the very warnings of Jesus being playing out before our very eyes. Matthew 24:12 says “And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold” (ESV). We are looking at an escalating situation being fueled by our own national leader’s lack of lawfulness. As a result, those who are not following Jesus are growing colder in their attitude to everyone other than their own self.
• 2 Timothy 3:1-4 reminds us that those who are not following Jesus will be “lovers of their own selves” and “proud.” What does being “proud” have to do with it? It means that these lawless people are too proud to admit their own faulty assessment of their evil violence against society. This is why you can present the most clear, articulate, convincing argument possible, but it is like throwing pearls to swine.
• The solution is Jesus Christ. The time is now for the wicked to be confronted with the saving gospel of change. 2 Peter 3:9 says that our Lord is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” The time is now for the church to have revival. How have we are claim the name of Christ overlooked yesterday’s opportunities to share the gospel with those who maybe not find themselves at odds with the law today?
• These incidents of hate and harm ought to be a call to pray for the Spirit of God to convict them and us. Convict them to lay down their self and find healing at the Calvary. Convict us to “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” knowing that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:10-12).
• These events should be a sign to us that our Savior is coming soon! in Matthew 24 Jesus lays out several signs of the times that will point to His soon redemption. Matthew 24:24 tells us “Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming” (ESV).
• Finally, take hope in the promise of 1 John 4:4 that “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
