Pray for President Trump
I really can’t wait til we can all get back together because there has been a thousand times during this coronavirus pandemic that I thought I want to talk about a headlines or people’s statements or whatever issue that we would normally discuss on a Sunday morning as we recorded our prayer requests.
Until then, I do want to ask that we continue to pray for each other. If you find yourself feeling stressed or overwhelmed or worried, there is a pretty good chance the rest of us may be too. So don’t hesitate to text someone and check on them.
I for one, am feeling a bit stir crazy and frustrated with the way the fear mongers in media and politics seem to have successfully shutdown America. I realize that those who have had this virus have suffered greatly, and my heart goes out to the families dealing with this virus. I’m just not sure why we’ve gone from “Let’s Roll” in 2011 to “Let’s roll up the carpet and hide in fear” in 2020.
Of course, my comments on COVID-19 issues are merely my perceptions because I had no medical training in seminary, but my layman mind wonders if this whole shutdown began with sincere intent but has been hijacked for political purposes. Not to mention that we are likely witnessing reusable templates that could be used in the Revelation 13 means of control and enforcement.
Today, however, I want to simply encourage us all to pray for our President and those involved in the decision making process at the highest levels of our government.
Please pray for President Trump this week, and pray for the COVID-19 virus to end.
Please pray that President Trump has wisdom when listening to his advisors. I’ll admit I have been suspect of some of the advisors around our President, not just because of their affiliations and poor track-records, but also because they seem to be trying to get ahead of our President with talking dates and long-term of shutdown and even being giddy about their medical advise over-ruling the economy. I wonder if they are more concerned about sabotaging our President than they are about allowing Americans to get their American way of life back.
Please pray that President Trump and our Justice Department will halt the anti-Christian aggression of the governors and mayors (who just happen to be Democrat political opponents of President Trump) would yield to the Constitution they swore to uphold and stop their tyranny against the church.
Please pray that President Trump and his appointed team will reopen our economy and do it wisely. It is possible that this process may be the way our nation institutes higher levels of surveillance on us through cell ware, micro-chips, certified vaccines, or pass papers like the German Nazi’s used to allow its citizens to move about their towns. Yes, they are discussing keeping tabs on us in the name of not wanting to spread COVID-19. To our President this may be a health issue, but to his opponents this is a political opportunity to move America closer to a subjection to a global government.
In the words of the Apostle Peter, “The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers” (1 Peter 4:7, ESV).
