Jesus is coming soon, and that’s the good news! I don’t want to call what I am about to share now as “bad news” but there are 2 things I want to drawer your attention to as needing prayer and a watchful eye.
1) California is about to make the Bible illegal because of a law they are trying to pass that will make the sale or distribution of anything that promotes traditional natural marriage illegal. If you get a chance, watch this short 1 minute clip of a California Assemblyman argue for this anti-Christian bill because he says faith communities are disproved by science and Christianity is a fraudulent belief system that can be outlawed because the First Amendment does not cover fraudulent expressions: https://vimeo.com/265804606.
2) A teacher at Pearl Haskew Elementary in Irvington was sent home from school on Monday because her shirt (an Aubreigh’s Army fundraiser shirt) which was a plain gray shirt with the words “just pray.” across the front. Apparently it was a tee-shirt day for the teachers because the students were testing, there were no regulations broken according to the employment manual, this teacher, and other teachers testimonies, but I just find it startling that the words “just pray.” were deemed offensive. They were likely offensive because the context is Christian, not Muslim, because public schools across the land are happily teaching students Muslim “prayer.” It’s a slipper slope from banning tee-shirts with the word “pray” as offensive to banning the Bible and having politicians declare the Christian faith as fraudulent and unprotected by law.
No wonder the angels of Revelation are so quick to shout “Holy and Just” is God as His wrath is unleashed on an unrepentant world.
I am starting to feel like a kid again, at least like I did at the amusement park with anticipation for a rough but exhilarating ride on the roller coaster, and I am feeling the need to hold on tight as the end-times is in full forward motion.
And to this I say…just pray.
