Being Intentional
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
If God requires an intentional seeking to find Him, what makes us think we can haphazardly bounce through life like pinball game as our plan for achieving success. God doesn’t hide from us and He doesn’t make it difficult to be found by us. He is there when we need Him but He does not interject Himself into our affairs if He is uninvited, unwelcome, or unacknowledged.
Likewise the task of the day, our mission or goal, requires that we are intentional in its pursuit. The accomplishment we want at the end of the day doesn’t magically occur. The success that we seek, whatever that looks like to us, requires that we get out of bed and put one foot in front of the other.
Let’s remember, before we can have we must do. Before we can do we must be, and that means being intentional.
