Honesty
“Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.” — Psalms 34:12-13 NIV
A long good life cannot be built on a foundation of evil or the practice of lying. However, a life that values honesty, authenticity, and the walfare of others can bring one a lifetime of many good days.
Impatience for success or discontent with circumstances can tempt someone to take an illegal path or an unsafe shortcut but don’t. Illicit gain doesn’t last or satisfy. Instead, make it a point to be a person whose word is their worth. Be known as an honest person. Earn the recognition of being the real deal, someone who is authentic, and cares about others.
This week, say what you mean and mean what you say or don’t say anything at all.
