Power of Patience
“being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience” — Colossians 1:11 NIV
There is great value to the individual who is patient enough to endure hardship. The old adage that says, “Good things come to them that wait” is true. The couple with the happiest marriage are usually the ones who stuck it out through their ups and downs, rather than jumping to greener pastures. The professional who finds their job most fulfilling is usually the one who outlasted the trying training, rather than opting out for less competencies.
Having the quality of endurance and patience is a super power that sets some above their peers because of the usefulness it brings to themselves and those around them. There is someone who depends on you for something, could be material, or wealth, or emotional well-being, but when patience is a high-priority for you, they benefit too.
While some may be born more suited to be steadfast about their goals and objectives because they get less distracted or more tolerant of boredom, anyone can enjoy the power of patience when they do one thing: pray. Thankfully, the God of Creation offers us all the power of patience to endure hardships if we simply go to Him in prayer, asking and believing in faith.
