“I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.” — Ezekiel 11:19 NIV

We speak of the criminal mind but it’s the criminal’s heart that puts them on the wrong side of the law. A heart that is callous and stony is inconsiderate of other people. It cares not if it hurts or harms another because it cares only about itself.

But, a heart of flesh speaks about one who has compassion on another. It feels the sorrow of a sad situation and willingly seeks ways it can relieve another’s pain. This is the heart we should all strive to have.

This is a heart that comes from God and it is the common bond that aligns us in work with Him for the sake of others.
