Hope
“My days have passed, my plans are shattered. Yet the desires of my heart turn night into day; in the face of the darkness light is near.” — Job 17:11-12 NIV
It has got to be a hopeless empty feeling, knowing your life is soon over and your dreams and goals were never realized. Having a body too old to cooperate with your plans is a sad place to be, unless you find something in your heart to draw hope from.
When the body and mind start to fail, it’s time to look within your heart to find something to hope for. The heart is where we hold dear to our faith, family, and fulfillment from life, and it is exactly we can go to draw hope to lift our spirit at the end of life.
