Success in life does involve a certain amount of being in the right place at the right time or taking advantage of opportunities not available to most. A business man who became a multi-millionaire overnight, told me he felt like a fraud because he didn’t get his money through intelligence, skill, or strategy. He said he just happened to be the one employed with a high ranking title when the company sold.

While life is mostly neutral and given to us all, it’s not unfair that some get the breaks while others don’t. What counts is how we all deal with whatever hand we are dealt. Those who gain through illegal or immoral means will likely not know Heavenly rewards, while those who struggle in this life will have all eternity to enjoy blessings that will make our earthly struggles unmemorable.

Let’s be grateful for the riches we do have in thankfulness, friendships, and peace with God.
