Begin this year with the God who brought life from the void of the earth and he will bring life from the blank calendar in your days ahead. The new year may cause you to be apprehensive, but whatever may befall, know that you will not be alone. The Creator of time, days, and lives will not leave you. The same Lord who walked with Adam through the unexplored land of Eden will walk with you through the uncharted year ahead.

None of us know what each day ahead will bring, whether joy or sorrow, but we don’t need to be looking forward afraid. We would likely be more fearful of the year if we could see its exposed dates of painful events.

As you step into this new year, do not fear for what’s ahead. Instead, gratefully travel through these unknown days of the year with the God who knows what’s ahead.
