Questions on Why Sin?

Pastor Steve Durkac Posted on August 17, 2020 by Steve DurkacAugust 17, 2020

It’s not an uncommon question to ask, Why Sin? So I want to point out that we have some resources available to you at www.crosshopechapel.org if this question arises in your conversations or within your own heart. It’s a good question, and I personally think it shows that some one is thinking on spiritual things so if you hear it, please don’t assume some one is doubting God or being in open rebellion of Him. … Continue reading →

10 Effects of Sin in Genesis 3

Pastor Steve Durkac Posted on September 8, 2019 by Steve DurkacSeptember 8, 2019

Revelation 12:7 says “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.” The chapter also gives us the account of Satan bringing war to earth against God’s people. The history of Israel was marked with war, especially as you read the record of leaving Egypt and … Continue reading →

When We Sin

Pastor Steve Durkac Posted on June 26, 2017 by Steve DurkacJune 26, 2017

We had a conversation Sunday during our study of James about what to do when we have sinned, and I want to share those Bible promises that I referenced again here. First, I mentioned a verse that I couldn’t locate right away, but the verse is Jeremiah 17:9  and it says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah reminds us that however righteous we may think we are … Continue reading →
